Thinking...

Now I'm debating. It seems like I haven't updated my blog even though I've made things including YouTube videos. Do I post a bunch of things in a row for Aunt Hope (and all of my other wonderful followers), or schedule them so that she has a few days with new material guaranteed? Hmmm...

Here's a SUPER quick video for you while I sit and ponder...  :D

**Can you hear this video?? I've watched this on YT, but playing it just now on my blog, I could barely hear it with the speakers all the way up and the YT volume at max. Let me know.

Thank You!

This card is for this week's sketch challenge on The Outlawz, BUT it's also for all of you who have been nice enough to pray for, text, call, private message, G+, email, snail mail, or smoke signal me at any time since last February when I found out that my mother had cancer all the way through these last few weeks following her death. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you all!

And Again...

Clearly, my blogging is way better when I don't make my projects in advance! This is the second week in a row that I forgot to post on Wednesday. I used to write my posts in advance and schedule them...until I started making my projects at the last minute! Then I would just take my picture and write the post right after. Now that I'm trying to do things early again, I've totally forgotten to do either.  :D

This week's card for the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz has the super cute Cheeky Nice from The Greeting Farm's Naughty or Nice set. I put a nose on her because not everyone likes noseless faces, but after I did it, she reminded me of Stewie Griffin. Not that he even has that kind of nose, but I really wish I'd left off the bridge line...

Here's the sketch if you'd like to come play along:

Do You Ever...

want to just post a pic with a link and be done? This morning, I woke up about every 6 - 8 mins starting around 4 am. At 5:05 I decided to not wait for the alarm and got up. I undid my hair then realized that I was working way closer to home today and didn't need to be up yet. So I set the alarm for 25 mins later and laid back down. Less than 10 mins later, I was wide awake and back up. Unfortunately that did not last. I was so sleepy today! I actually felt my head rolling while I was walking around! Who falls asleep standing up??   o_O

Not that I've had a nap or anything now... I had stuff to do! I hope you don't feel cheated by this post. I mean, I did tell you all about my day, didn't I? :D

This card started as a breast cancer challenge card on Scraps of Color, but I changed it a little for this week's Sketch Challenge on The Outlawz!
I felt like someone might give me some flak for a semi-sexy angel with a scripture, but then I thought how I'm still young and don't want all of my angels to be stuffy. As there are women younger than I am with breast cancer, I know at least one of them would like an angel that reminds her of herself...

Here's the sketch if you want to play...

Another simple sketch! No excuses... See you in the challenge!

*I'm giving something away again this week. You might want it. Go back one post...

Breast Cancer Awareness (and a Goodie) at Guylou's Inimitability!

You probably already know that I am seriously silly. I am loving all the quirky BCA cards everyone is making - Kitties for Titties, Save the Hooters,  and this cute card by Cely! But since not every situation calls for silly, I made this card using a beautiful new stamp by Guylou and a sentiment from TLC for the new challenge at GI:

Guylou designed this new image in honor of the Breast Cancer Awareness program and for reaching over 250 followers on the Guylou's Inimitability blog. Gabrielle and ribbon is available for FREE between October 7th and 14th at Guylou's Online Store. Please use the code BCA-GABRIELLE at check out to get it FREE!!

If you decide to participate in the challenge (mostly pink  + pink ribbon), Guylou is offering a $5.00 gift certificate from her online store to the randomly-chosen winner. You can enter only one project, but if you use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, your project will count for two entries. If you don't have one of her digi stamps and/or your budget is tight; please check her online store where several freebies are available or you can use the digistamp offered above!  You have until 10 p.m. EST on Oct. 20 to enter your projects on the GI blog!

Guylou’s Christmas Digis Blog Hop!

Hey, this is Trina, the last designer on Guylou’s Inimitability Christmas Digistamps Blog Hop. I'm so excited!! We are kicking things off at Guylou’s Inimitability where you will start and end the blog hop. If you are here from Tracy's blog, you’re doing great! If not, please start at Guylou’s Inimitability or refer to the blog hop list at the bottom of this post to find your way. The hop will be open through Sunday, November 28th at 9:00pm EST.
Guylou’s got some adorable new Christmas images to show you which are available NOW at Guylou’s Inimitability Online Store!

What is a blog hop without a prize??? One lucky winner will be drawn at random from the comments on this blog post to receive one digistamp of her/his choice from Guylou’s new releases, and a grand winner will be selected on Guylou’s Inimitability Blog to win all five new releases. You must comment on all the blogs participating in this blog hop in order to qualify to win the grand prize.

Eight designers are hopping along, each creating something amazing with Guylou’s new Christmas digistamps. I created my card with the darling digi called “Gabrielle with Lamb.”

I think this is a perfect image for Christmas. I colored her robe with what has to be the least cooperative Copic marker ever made... :-s  At a different angle her wings look really glittery since I used a Sakura Star Dust pen on them, and her lamb has some Studio G flock on it. The ticket is from Tim Holtz, and in the background is one of my favorite songs, "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing." (I really love a bunch of Christmas songs. One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is that it is the beginning of Christmas songs on the radio!)

Hope you enjoyed my card! Don't forget to hop along with us and leave us some love; you could end up a winner!!  If you started at the beginning, your next (and FINAL) hop is back to Guylou's Inimitability! Hope you've had fun!

Sharing...

Hey out there! I have a few things to share with you today...

First, I got another card from my Secret Pal! She is a much better SP than I am because I forgot that post takes time and didn't make a card for my SP for Thanksgiving! My SP sent me a very cute Thanksgiving card. Thank you!!

Next, is a card I made today for my BF's mom. A few weeks ago we all went on a trip together. She saw me coloring and asked if I like those "big-eyed things." (I was coloring a page of Some Odd Girl digis.) I took that as a hint to not use any cartoon-y images on her card.  :)  The stamp on the card is from The Paper Studio's Botanicals & Birds set. I was amazed to see that it's the same butterfly on one of the pages in DCWV's Garden Party stack. For some reason I keep forgetting that I got a gang of Colorbox inks from eBay; I used it for the butterfly, CTMH mini hearts, and ticket edges. A ticket from Tim Holtz, ribbon from Michael's, and a Rose Quartz Love Letter flower from Prima round out the supplies used for this one... I think this is the first card I've made without coloring. And I found challenges! Top Tip Tuesday - Layer Upon Layer and A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes

The last card I made last week but wasn't sure if I was going to send it to my Secret Pal. I think I can manage to make a few of these since it's only a 3x3 card. The stamp is from the dollar section at Michael's. (I'll put the company's name later; I forgot to bring my notepad downstairs with me...) The angel is colored with Copics and a Sakura Star Dust pen. I used the pen to go over the stripes on the argyle paper too. (Paper from DCWV.) And challenges for this one too - Incy Wincy Designs - #69 Blue & White and Pollycraft Monday Challenge - #71 Blue.

Thanks for reading through all that! Don't forget the Elegant Challenge at Guylou's and the blog hop this weekend!

Anniversary Card

I'm supposed to be going to an anniversary party this evening and whipped up this card today. I think it came out well. I tilted the angel over a little too far, and she looks like she's spilling the hearts instead of dropping them out of the bowl. BUT, hey...

In case you actually want to know, the stamp is from A Day for Daisies. She's Angel Love. I colored her with my Copics, slapped some Elmer's 3-D Paint on the wings, and put her onto a cut out piece of Airbrushed Waves paper by The Paper Studio. It doesn't show well in the pic, but there are darker blue swirls on the paper... The ribbon is from Offray, and the sentiment was printed out using Smiley Monster and Susie's Hand fonts. The hearts and sentiment are popped up with some dimensional adhesive from Target's $1 bin.
