Whoo hoo!! I made it back to the blog before my son's arrival! I still haven't been extra crafty lately; however, I did carve out time to make a bunch of thank you cards for my baby showers. I just finished mailing all of them from my first shower a couple of weeks ago and need to make a few more for one that's later this week. Here's what they look like (minus the watermark, of course):
In case you're interested, the onesie and trim are Top Hatter dies, the giraffe is from a PTI set (sidenote: I totally HATE the stamps that go with this set. No matter what I use to ink them or what kind of block or pressure, I cannot get a good impression. Plus, the dies are solid and all in one piece so you have to cut the piece then hope the stamp lines up right. Total waste of my time!!), and the heart is from the bottom of the MS Heartbeat die.
Some baby cards have started arriving in my mailbox. I hope to be back soon to share them with you! :D

Are You Still There?
Welp... It's officially been ages since I posted to this blog. It's not that I don't love you all, but I've been super tired and not very crafty for a minute. I happen to be growing a person! I'd planned to let you all know for a while now but just didn't make the time. However, I got a beautiful card in the mail a few days ago that reminded me that I really needed to post something. Look at this lovely card I received from Patricia at Paper Temptress:
Isn't it adorable? The inside is decorated beautifully, too! Paper Temptress is a long time sponsor at The Outlawz. I never expected her to send me anything; it was such a nice surprise!
I'll try not to be gone so long. My son is due in three months, and I hope to have something (anything!!!) to share with you before then!

I See Spots at Guylou's Inimitability
Thank you, G, for helping me knock down my paper stash a little! Guylou decided that our first challenge of the year at Guylou's Inimitability was going to be I See Dots. Well, I pulled out some of the sheets from Basic Grey's Olivia pad and colored up this super cute new image Matilda and made it work! (Guylou used this image too, and her card is SO cute!!)
If you'd like to play along, you have until 10 pm EST on January 31 to get your project linked up. AND... G is giving away her new house stamp until tomorrow (1/20) night. Stop by the blog to find out how to get it!

SOG for the Outlawz!
This week's sketch challenge at The Outlawz had me confused (again, right?). I pulled myself together late last night and got on it, though! I can't tell you how many different ideas I had for this card before finally deciding on one and putting a card together. I was so sleepy while I was making the card, plus it was my week to do the challenge so I had even more to do once I finished it.
I used Baby Snuggle Kaylee from Some Odd Girl and some stamps from Lawn Fawn's Plus One set to make a card for this sketch...
Hope to see you in the challenge! We have a great sponsor for the challenge AND for the site this month!

Me? Make a Tag??
It is very rare that I venture out of the card-making zone. It's not that I don't want to, but I really don't know how I can make the things that speak to me that I've seen other people make. One thing I see a lot as I'm out surfing through blogland is the tag. I like tags, but the idea of them is a challenge for me. Well, my lovely teammate Roxann decided that tags would be our challenge this go round at Guylou's Inimitability! No!! :D
I survived and even managed to make a simple tag that works for me. I used GI's Baby Bear digi and some CTMH Cherry-O papers that had the colors I thought would look nice for a baby tag.
I know a lot of you are good at tag, and I know that some of you are like me and are a bit leery of them. Either way, you should come play along! You might wind up as a GDT and the recipient of some free digis!!Remember, you don't have to use a Guylou's Inimitability digi, but if you do you get an additional entry in the drawing. Plus, G has some freebies floating around if you want to try her digis out! I hope to see you in the challenge. You have until 10 pm EST on June 14 to link up your tag!

Crazy Cat Lady Card
Well, despite the lack of supplies I packed this weekend, I was able to finish my card for the Crazy Cat Lady Challenge at Guylou's Inimitability. My blue came out darker than I planned, but I hope Gina will tell me my colors are close enough. ;D Thank goodness my bf's mom is crafty; I was able to bum some buttons, string, and cardstock from her!
Don't forget the colors for this challenge are brown, cream/off white, and light blue. You have until 10 pm EST on May 3 to get a project in. I'd love to see you in the challenge!

let's see if this works...
So I am trying to type my Wednesday post from my new phone. I'm in the bad weather area and don't feel like starting the computer. Apparently this phone only works on the edit html tab in Blogger. So... if it doesn't work, just know I tried.
Hopefully, below you see my card for this week's sketch challenge at The Outlawz...
Well...That didn't work. But since the storm isn't here yet, here we go!! :D Here's this week's sketch from The Outlawz:
And here's my card using some stamps from Lawn Fawn's Plus One set:
Challenges: Bearly Mine Challenges - Beautiful Babies, Creative Card Crew - Child's Play (a mobile counts, right?), Penny's Paper Crafty - #52 Welcome Home, Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes, Partytime Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by! + Baby Card
WOW! Yesterday started a little blog loving session over on Feline Playful. I have been having a blast going to all the different blogs and seeing people's work. And I'm really thankful for all the nice comments that folks have been leaving me. Please know that I check Google Reader whenever I have a moment of free time and will be reading what you post on your blog. I may not show up every day, but you should expect to see my little face in your comments from time to time.
I do have a card to share that I finished this morning. Unfortunately, I'm not at home so I can't get the good pics off my camera, but I did take some pictures on my phone. When I get to my camera cable I'll upload a better picture without my fingernails hanging out on the side... :D **The new pic is on the right...**
This card is for my BF's nephew who was baptized this morning. I used sketch #33 from the AnnaBelle Bling Sketch Challenge. The digi is a brand new stamp from Mo Manning. (A lady soon to have new grandsons and I asked for some boys when Mo put out those beautiful "Baby Girl" stamps the other day...) The stamp was colored with Copics, the buttons are by Making Memories, and the paper is DCWV's Linen Closet and some shimmery paper from Colorbox. The font is Sue Ellen Francisco; there's a scripture on the inside (Isaiah 46:4)...
It seems like everyone has a "new" challenge for the new year. Since this card is for a relatively new baby and is to celebrate his new dedication to Christ, I'm going to enter a gang of them just for the fun of it!

It's A Girl...
So, my mother has two co-workers who recently had babies, and being a supportive mother, she asked me to put some cards together for them. Well, I got the Baby Love digi from A Day for Daisies and went to work. I colored the first image then messed it up trying to ink the edges. Then I colored it again, thought it looked ok, assembled the card, then took a pic...
Grrr, is that a big streak on the face?? So I go to color over it again with my Copics... Arrrgh, did I get glue on the face?? The ink was not soaking into the paper, and the mom's face was absolutely ruined... I'm gonna try again and see if I can just pop the circle up on top of the first one.
Anyway, I wanted to enter the challenge on ADFD. The theme is "Happiness Is..." I don't have any kids, but I love a sweet, sleeping baby on my shoulder. Quiet baby breaths, baby powder, snuggling... It works for me. I'm also entering Going Grey Challenge #27 - Gotta Go Digi over at Scrap-Creations by Kristen.
