UPDATED:New Lovey Release at LMMS

There are some super adorable new images at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today! I will be back with a card. I'm struggling right now - my laser printer gave no warning before claiming to be out of toner plus the rain we've been having is killing me with sinus headaches. In the meanwhile, check out my teammies on the LMM blog!

FINALLY!!

I think I've decided that Prisma's Process Red is just about the most perfect blush color I can find in my supplies..

The new Celeste Amberglow Heartstrings has so nicely decided to jump herself onto the front of a card!

Challenges: Avadares: Valentine's Day or Love, Lady Anne's - Sentiment + Anything Goes, Simply Create Too - Anything Goes, Sweet 'n Sassy - Anything Goes (use a digi)

Girly Release at LMMS!

I HAVE GOT to get my light box back in business! I've been taking pics everywhere!

So, last week I called myself trying to be early with my Little Miss Muffet Challenge project. The challenge, which is still going, was to make a tag or a gift. Well, I'm so awesome (ha!), I made a tag BUT used an image that wasn't in the shop until today! Yep, that's another "oops" for me this week!  There are some new Sonny Honeycloud, Celeste Amberglow, and Luna Bitterfrost stamps from Pollycraft PLUS an angel and some lovely angel wings and dresses from Barbara at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Make sure you get a News Badge on your blog to be eligible for your choice of stamps from the next release!

**Challenges: Sassy Studio Design - Celebrations,  Crafty Ribbons - Tags or Labels, The Sisterhood of Crafters - Embossing (background is a lace stamp embossed with white, blue Gelato run over afterward)

New Releases at Little Miss Muffet!

This week at Little Miss Muffet Stamps we have seven new digis from Simply Sophia! This set is called Hills of Mooradale and is perfect for you fantasy lovers. There are unicorns, dragons, and a pegasus!
Any photo gurus out there? Things that are this purple will not photo red enough with my camera. I can't get the right colors even when I change the camera's settings or edit the photo afterward...

I chose to make a mini mixed media canvas using Firefoot. I swear as simple as that canvas looks, you might not even believe that there are a ton of products on there...  Don't forget to check out what my teammates made this week and get a peek at the other stamps in the set!

**Challenges: Oozak - Sparkle, Paperminutes - No Design Paper, Papertake Weekly - Things that Make You Go Aww, Stamp and Create - Anything Goes, There's Magic in the Air - Anything Goes, Art With No Boundaries - Anything Goes

I Went to a Crop!

I went to an all-day crop on Saturday and had an awesome time. You know I couldn't go and scrap anything, though; I had some fun with cards! Sorry for not really editing these, but you can click them to see the bigger versions.

Set for my Secret Pal. If you're in the group, don't tell her it's me! :D

A lady at crop wanted a duplicate of one of my cards for her daughter who is going to college this week. A smudge from my stamp cleaning pad led to extra bling! :D

My bf's mom needed a card for one of her coworkers who recently lost his wife. A nice lady at the crop made those shapes for me on her Cricut. I had to add some pearls to disguise the fact that I stamped way off to the side. You know how I do!
Meljen's bear with some papers I got at the recent Scrapbook Expo.
Yeah, I was there about 11 hours and only made 5.5 cards! (The sympathy card was finished on Sunday...) I am what I am! :D

Totally unrelated, but I so want to see The Bourne Legacy and ParaNorman! Did you see anything while I was at the crop?

Gertrude and Scallops!

Are you ready for a new challenge Little Miss Muffet style? Well, ready or not, the challenge is here! :D We want to see your projects with Scallops! I barely have any scalloped stuff and until just a second ago when I started typing this post, I forgot that you can make your own scallops using circles. (Boo me!!) I hope that my MFT Bracket Edge Die counts!

One of the new Hatters, Gertrude Lena Hatter! Those greens look strange under the all powerful Ott Lite!

A Little Something Different...

Do you ever type words then think that they look misspelled? I just typed "different" as the title of this post and was just waiting for the squiggly red lines to pop up! DOES is another word like that for me. I can't tell you how many times I've written that word and been seriously confused after... :D

Anyway, I've been working for most of the week to clear out my room in preparation for new carpet. Despite the clutter of drawers in my living room and the baskets of clothes that I've moved, the room still looks a hot mess! The man is supposed to start tomorrow, though, so I guess I'll have to move into a higher gear to get that room under control! I do have issues at times with large projects; I need something else to keep me going so I don't end up overwhelmed. So, on my moving breaks, I worked to create a little encouraging piece of art.

The colors are all a bit wonky. I could not manage to get the purple to photo right on my digital camera inside, outside, natural light, direct light, OttLite - anywhere! My phone photos with a red dot in the middle, but the shots looked way better than my camera's.
Thanks to my dear friend Dana, I transformed a Kashi bar box into a piece of shelf art to inspire me. I used a digi from Guylou's Inimitability (that I drew) then went crazy on the box. I have to say that I'm a bit amazed at how many supplies I have around the house. Granted, I used to sponsor an art club at my mother's school and was given some supplies by a very supportive, arty ex-bf quite a few years ago.  But yeah, I like her and hope you do too!

I'm GDTing it over at JDE!

Yep, I'm this week's Guest Design Team member at Jackson's Digital Expressions! Robert Jackson draws some awesome digis and has a super talented team. (He also drew the portrait in yesterday's CD case album.) Robert put out six new digis for July, and the team has been celebrating with a month long anything goes challenge! There have been stamp giveaways from Bugaboo and JDE;  Mayzy Art digis and a BIG SHOT are coming up, too! Go on over, sign up as a follower, and enter your latest and greatest projects for a chance to win!

Here's a card from me using the Country Church digi:

Sentiment from TlcCreations!

I used to go to a church like this, but it wasn't in the country. It had a gravel parking lot and wooden floors that sounded great when service got rocking and people had their feet patting or stomping. There weren't many young people in that church, though. Whenever I go back and visit, all my favorite old people treat me like a celebrity! Nothing like going home, right? ;D

My Money's Worth

I'm back! In addition to the new rubber stamps at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, this week we also have new digis! If you're looking to pick up some adorable new boy stamps (yay!), you should definitely check these out! I am not showcasing one of said manly stamps, but a sweet girl named Undine.

Thanks Dana for the hair color combo!
I happen to be feeling Undine because she's a stamp and a sentiment all in one! As much as I tend to crop digis, I know that just her hand will end up one a card soon...

I went simple on this one. I was going to add "Yes, you" or something, but after I put her on the paper, I couldn't find a space that made sense to put it. I thought about the top left, but we don't read right to left in English. I think that would have just been confusing. Then I thought about the bottom right, but I didn't want to cover her legs. In the end I decided to let the digi do all the talking!

Check out my teammates' amazing cards!

New Challenge and a Freebie!!

We just started a new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability - Pearls and Swirls!! This challenge should be easy for a lot of you, but last night, I could not get it together! The last few days all I've wanted to do was nothing! I have so many images printed up on my table, but...

Anyway, here's my card using the new Lotus is a Bride digi!

Got too happy with the blue marker!

I expect to see a lot of you in the challenge. You don't need to use a Guylou's Inimitability digi to play along, BUT G has a freebie until tomorrow night!!

Please visit www.guylou.com, add Princess Tara at the Ball to your cart and apply the code 201206-FREEBIE-PRINCESS at check out to get it free.

**Totally not related to this post, but Blitsy has the Summer pack of Distress Inks for lower than any of the other stores I checked. I'm a bargain shopper and believe in making sure I'm getting a good deal when shopping online. I have a feeling they're going to sell out of these quickly, so get on over there!

More Rubber at LMMS!

We have some more rubber stamps at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! There are 6 new designs available for you in rubber, BUT that also means that the digital versions of those images are being retired. Taylor, Bailey, Summer Breeze, Butterfly Kisses, Camila, and Spring Whisper are the stamps you need to rush over and get in whichever form works for you.

These lovely ladies will only be available as digital stamps until midnight CST on Wednesday, June 27, so if you are a digi lover, you better rush!  And because Barbara is out of town again this weekend and unable to process orders until Tuesday, she is offering a free randomly selected Sugar 'n Spice digital stamp with every order!

This is my quick card using Butterfly Kisses.

Check out my teammates' amazing creations on the challenge blog.

This Week's Sketch!

Since I haven't gotten enough sleep before work the last two nights (my fault), I figured there was no need to try to find a clever title for today's post. It is what it is... So, here's my card!

I used another digi from MayzyArt; this one is called Jean. It doesn't really show in the pic, but her accessories are glittered. That extra bright colorful paper is from one of those $1 bins at Target, and the sentiment is from Fiskars. Can I just say that the smell of rubber makes me ill? Like, I opened that pack of stamps and was immediately upset by how strong they smell. Anyone else with this issue??

This week's inspirational sketch at The Outlawz.
There's the sketch. I know you can come up with something for this one! Remember, if you decide to play along this month, you'll be eligible for prizes from Guylou's Inimitability and Paper Temptress AND our site-wide sponsors! Oh, I just saw that there's an exclusive MayzyArt stamp in the Freebies section of The Outlawz! Make it happen, y'all!

Anything Goes + DT Call + Freebie!!

That's right - Little Miss Muffet Stamps has an Anything Goes challenge and a DT call going right now! For my card, I finally finished coloring Ginger; I started her for a project two challenges ago! :(

When I was busy taking care of my cousin during her cancer treatment, she had a really great nurse at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. I know my cousin just went in for scans a few days ago, but I'm not sure if she ever thanked her nurse. My cousin just graduated with her Bachelors Degree on Saturday, and I want to thank the nurse for all her everything she did for us during the time we saw her regularly. There may not have been a graduation had she not been such a sweet, caring person! (Yes, there were plenty of other nurses involved in my cousin's care, and they all did a great job. This nurse, however, was our point person...) I also scanned the colored stamp and made some charms. They have a program at CHOA that gives the kids beads when they complete procedures/treatments. The nurses wear the necklaces, too, and I thought it would be cool to have a little nurse bead!

And because Barbara is so awesome, she's giving away a new stamp!

Saffron is dressed for the cold and is super cute! Head on over to the challenge to see how to add her to your collection! Then make sure to become a follower and enter the Anything Goes challenge!

Repeat for the Sketch Challenge!

I ran away for the weekend and didn't make my card for this week's Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz before I left. I was really happy to see that I had a card from last year that was kind of close to the sketch. Even better was that the card featured a digi from our sponsor this month at the Sketch Challenge, Michelle Perkett!

Here are the sketch and my card:

I hope to see you in the challenge! Remember, we have Michelle Perkett sponsoring the Sketch Challenge, plus Oozak, SCACD, Paper Temptress, Gilli Rubber Stamps, and Anita Be Stampin are our site-wide sponsors for December!! I saw that Tiddly Inks and EK Success are also sponsoring challenges this month. You'll have to poke around the site to figure out where they are!

And just in case you haven't been to The Outlawz in a minute, Sandi and Anne from the DT have been putting out great FREE digis. We also have an active blogging group full of encouraging crafters who check in and comment at each others' blogs and an ever-growing list of tutorials! See you around!

Oh, before I forget again... Thank you Shonda (former Secret Pal) for that awesome Christmas card! My bf was over here trying to work out the mechanics behind that wobble you used for Santa! And thank you Naomi for the surprise card and GC! I'll be posting your cards later this week! :D

I'm So Sorry!

I didn't manage to make a single thing last week until Friday afternoon! That really sucked since I had two DT projects due (sorry) and orders due this week for Christmas cards... I was really suffering from major blahs; my hormones had me in a seriously crappy place. Thankfully, I feel way better now! I went to on online crafty friend's house on Saturday for some crafting (Hey Trish!), and I went shopping at Michaels, Blitsy, and Oozak yesterday... (YAY!!) At least I'll have some things to show you all this week...

And to start, here's one for the Christmas set I owe. It's serving double duty as my card for the Sketch Challenge this week at The Outlawz.

It's shinier than this picture shows. Glittery paper and Stickles...  See?

Here is this week's sketch if you'd like to play along:

This month, the Sketch Challenge is sponsored by Michelle Perkett. She's giving away some of her awesome digis! Plus, we have our monthly site-wide sponsors, Oozak, Paper Temptress, SCACD, and Gilli Rubber Stamps! OH, and it looks like Anita Be Stampin' is a site-wide sponsor this month, too! Remember, we pick all of our winners randomly; whether you're just starting or have been crafting forever makes no difference! We just want you to hang out and have a good time with us. Hope I see you there! :D

Rinne Has Candy + TO Sketch!

My blog buddy Rinne has been cleaning her craft area and has a big heap of awesomeness that she's planning to give away! Her candy is open until Dec 20 or 175 followers. You want to be in on this one!

Okay, today happens to be Wednesday and time for a new sketch challenge at The Outlawz!

I used Nurse Anya from The Greeting Farm, DCWV's Super Stack 7, and some Copic-colored flowers from I Am Roses.

I normally crop tight, but I didn't want you all to miss that fall action in the background...

This image has been in my bag of colored images since I started with Copics last year. I did add a little extra shading; when I originally colored her I only had that one blue and darkened the shadow by going over it a few times with that one color. This card came together pretty quickly - after the mad dash to find paper and a mini glue gun burn! That is Ice Stickles on the flowers, Distress Ink on the circle, and trim from Wrights.

I hope to see you at The Outlawz! Remember, we have a different challenge EVERY day! You're sure to find one or two or seven that you want to get in on!

To My Secret Pal - #1

I don't know if whoever's reading this has been around since Oct 2010, but I've been sending cards to a "Secret Pal" for the last year. I signed up in the Anything Goes group on PCP last year, and Abby from Scrapbookaholic by Abby and the new Dilo en Español stamps is who I've been sending things to. I didn't want to post any of the cards I made for her just in case she was a super sleuth...

Anyway, when I got Abby's info, I went to her blog and saw that she was planning a blog hop for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Luckily, I knew a little about the holiday from high school Spanish classes. (Google also helped...) To put it very briefly, Dia de los Muertos is a time to honor and celebrate people who have passed, and there are sugar skulls, flowers, and food involved...

I used a skull stamp from Imaginisce to make two cards.

For the first card, I used paper from DCWV's Rock Star stack. The skull was stamped with Studio G white pigment ink, but I went over the white with a colored pencil because it seemed to be smearing even though I'd stamped the skulls days before I used them. I used the colored pencils to draw on the skull; the blue was supposed to kinda be like tears. One of the peas fonts from KevinandAmanda.com was used to make the sentiment. It means remember. (I called my godbrother who spent some time in Spain for study abroad and had my cousin ask her fiancee which is more right - recuerda or acuerdate. If you think I should've used the other, Sorry!)

For the other card, I made my own background by using the Flower Sketch stamp from Autumn Leaves. I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored a base with my Copics, then used my colored pencils on top. I just happened to find some odorless mineral spirits in my garage (score!) and was able to finally try to blend my pencils. I used the pencils and mineral spirits for the blue background too.  The skull was stamped just like the other and covered in MS glitter glue in graphite & nephrite.

Hopefully, Abby liked them!

I Haven't Entered This Many...

I haven't entered this many challenges in a while, but I'm really excited and happy about a project I just finished! I always check the rules to not enter challenges with limits, so if I added your challenge and don't qualify, please forgive me!

Here's my project:
I altered a chalkboard for a friend who was recently named Teacher of the Year. It might not look like it, but it took me forever to finish this project. I'm really slow about crafting and tend to move things around like a million times to figure out where I want things. I guess that's why I like sketch challenges!

Challenges: 4 Crafty Chicks - Anything Goes, Shelley's Images - Tic-tac-toe (Bling/Free/Flowers), Southern Girls - Anything Goes, Digistamps 4 Joy - Anything Goes, Paper Pretties - Sentiment as the Focal Point, Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes, Anything Goes Challenges - Anything Goes (of course!), Clear It Out - Alter Something, Jens Digi Stamps - Let's Hear it for the Girls, Going Grey with Scrap-Creations - It's a Girl Thing

Big thanks to the team at Feline Playful!

If you'd like the details...My cute little teacher is a hybrid - Teacher Anya and Easter Anya from The Greeting Farm. I painted and crackle finished the frame then glittered the cracks.  The stars are chipboard covered in paper from October Afternoon's Schoolhouse pack. The Well Done and A+ banner up top are from KaiserCraft's Class of '87 line.  I wanted to use transfer paper to write her name using a font from a scrapbook lettering book I have, but I didn't have the right kind. I ended up having to free hand it, but I don't think it came out bad.  And because I always have a tip from messing up something... If you use white ink on a chalkboard, you can erase your mistakes with nail polish remover! (Teacher was SO slanted when I first wrote it.) I got the flowers from eBay a long time ago, but I rarely use flowers on my projects. I colored them with Copics and Glimmer Mist then put some Stickles on top. All the rhinestones are from Michaels.

Don't forget the party starts Monday on The Outlawz!

Words With Oozak

Yes, I'm on Time!!

Hey everyone! Today is Wednesday aka Sketch Challenge Day at The Outlawz! We have a great sketch this week, and my fellow DT ladies have created some awesomeness to inspire you! (Just so you know, Sandi used an amazing hummingbird digi that she drew! She's supposed to add it to the Freebies section of The Outlawz soon; head on over to get all the digis she and Anne Fenton have served up!)

Sandi and Pattie's Creations (Pattie G) are both sponsoring the Sketch Challenge this month and are giving 3 digis a piece! Oozak is sponsoring all the challenges on the site and is offering a $50 gift certificate, AND Anary from Gilli Rubber Stamps has just signed on to give a member a Gilli Goodie Bag! I know you're ready to enter now that you've seen these awesome prizes, so here's the sketch for this week:
And here's my card made with Love Letter Kaylee from Some Odd Girl!

Kaylee was colored with Copics; her shoes are glittery from a Spica pen, but you can't really tell in the picture. All the papers came from a dollar pack from Target around Valentine's Day. (You know I love a bargain!) Colorbox ink is on the edges of the papers...

Hope to see you in the challenge! You still have until next Wednesday to enter any of the Sketch challenges from this month and be entered into the drawings for prizes!

It's not Wednesday!

Yeah, I should have just posted my card for this week's sketch at The Outlawz on Tuesday; the post accidentally went up that day, and I wouldn't have missed all Wednesday... Oh well...

Here's the sketch for this week:

Here's my card using a freebie from Guylou's Inimitability that was available on CDAC:

You definitely want to play with this month's sketches! 7 Kids College Fund has donated a $20 gift certificate, and there's a digi from one of the artists at Digistamps 4 Joy! Also, the site-wide prizes for this month are a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com, a $25 gift certificate to SCACD, and a free Copic class at Color Me Creative Classroom!

There's also another party coming to The Outlawz! If you were there for the last one, you know this one will be awesome! If you weren't, get ready! We party hard! :)

P.S. Guylou's Inimitability has new images coming out tomorrow!

I didn't forget!

...but I was supposed to schedule this post in advance. I just didn't get around to it. So, without keeping you waiting any longer, here's this week's sketch from The Outlawz:

And here's my card:

I'm on a getaway, so I'm keeping it short. Stamps from Sandylion. Stars and planet stamped with Colorbox ink. Planet didn't stamp well, so I used Spica pens and a white pastel to help it out. Robot stamped on silver paper with Vivid Black (yeah, it's grey though) and shadowed with Copics (markers + multiliner) Sentiment printed using a font from kevinandamanda.com (I think), and the bg panel is a piece of Halloween paper from K & Co cut with a Nestability.

I hope to see you in the challenge! (So I'm on vaca, but I'm always checking email. I'll know if you enter the challenge.) This month, Sandi is giving a digi to everyone who enters a sketch challenge. Plus, there's an SCACD $25 gift certificate and a Copic ABS from Oozak up for grabs. And if you're a member of The Outlawz but have never entered a challenge, there's a challenge just for you! (Oozak is sponsoring, and it's ANYTHING GOES!!)
