This card is for this week's sketch challenge on The Outlawz, BUT it's also for all of you who have been nice enough to pray for, text, call, private message, G+, email, snail mail, or smoke signal me at any time since last February when I found out that my mother had cancer all the way through these last few weeks following her death. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you all!

B&W +1!
So... I got to choose the challenge for the blogging challenge group on Scraps of Color this week. I have some cards on my list for a teacher, and this seemed like a great time to kill two birds. discussed doing black and white plus one. Now, to me, her plus one is like neon pink or chartreuse. I have a feeling, though, that she probably sees her plus one as some muted earth tone. Not happening!!
I told the very awesome Sharri that I was going to CASE her card from last week's Twisted Thursday Challenge on The Outlawz. Close enough to get me there!
**Challenges: Rhedd and Rosie's - Anything Goes, Ruby's Rainbow - Recipe, The Sisterhood of Crafters - BW+1, Word Art Wednesday - #89 Anything Goes

| Stampabilities sentiment, Webster's Pages ribbon, MS butterfly punch, stamped bg paper - I have to go to the basement to tell you who made it, Ice Stickles |

Graduation Time!
Some of the ladies on Scrap of Color decided we needed a challenge on Monday. We were busy chatting when we all wanted to and should have been crafting. So, Tina and Karen decided that our challenge would be to make a graduation card with embossing and an image. Well, I'd already printed out some graduation digis to prepare for the graduates I know, so this challenge got me going! I used Sassy Graduate from Sassy Studio Designs; the digi is currently free for a progressive challenge in the SSD group on PCP.
Here is my first card:
And here's the second one that I actually embossed (and didn't make until Tuesday after the "challenge" was over):
And a close up since easel cards are a beast to try to photograph...
Anyway, I colored these two girls (and another) with my Copics at the same time. In case you want to know, they were colored about the same way with E13/15/17 but the one on the top has a base coat of YG41 while the second was colored first with YR21.
**Challenges: Through the Craft Room Door (HEY YALL!) Anything Goes, Tuesday Throwdown - Embossing

Girly Release at LMMS!
![]() |
| I HAVE GOT to get my light box back in business! I've been taking pics everywhere! |
So, last week I called myself trying to be early with my Little Miss Muffet Challenge project. The challenge, which is still going, was to make a tag or a gift. Well, I'm so awesome (ha!), I made a tag BUT used an image that wasn't in the shop until today! Yep, that's another "oops" for me this week! There are some new Sonny Honeycloud, Celeste Amberglow, and Luna Bitterfrost stamps from Pollycraft PLUS an angel and some lovely angel wings and dresses from Barbara at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Make sure you get a News Badge on your blog to be eligible for your choice of stamps from the next release!
**Challenges: Sassy Studio Design - Celebrations, Crafty Ribbons - Tags or Labels, The Sisterhood of Crafters - Embossing (background is a lace stamp embossed with white, blue Gelato run over afterward)

A Fairy & Some Pensive Girls
Today is a new release day at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! Today you can get your hands on Cadrian, a gorgeous fairy, and a group of young ladies who all seem to be figuring out all of life's mysteries - or maybe they just miss someone. My card features one of those girlies; her name is Gloria. You know, I don't think I know a single young person with that name...
Before I send you running over to the LMMS blog, I have some exciting news! You may have heard that Pollycraft is closing down, but the good news is Pollycraft isn't disappearing!! Paula and Barbara have teamed up, and some of your favorite characters will be appearing at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! There are even 2 NEW images in the store today - Swings 'n Slides Butterflies and Luna Bitterfrost Birthdays Rock!! Now that rocks! Tomorrow the team will have lots of Pollycraft inspiration that you won't want to miss! Someone is going to be really happy to have the News Badge on his/her blog!
*Special Offer*
Barbara will be out of town for the weekend but she has a special release offer - place any order between now and Sunday and receive a random digi for free! Don't worry - she'll make sure it's a Little Misses digi that you don't already have. :D This offer will last until Sunday, June 10, at midnight Central US Time. All orders will be fulfilled the next day and your fun can begin! Now go on over to the blog and check out the amazing creations from the rest of the team. Then, pick up your favoriteS, including the new Park Glen Door Die!
**Challenges: Try it on Tuesday - Anything Goes, Oldie But a Goodie - Anything Goes (I've had that BasicGrey paper for a really long time...), Digital Tuesday Challenge - Anything Goes

A Simple Sketch!
After that marathon card making day the other day, I am happy to say that I finally made a simple-looking card that was actually simple for me to make!! Normally, the cards that look super easy took me hours to put together. This one went really quick, and *surprise, surprise* I used scraps! (I'm getting better about cutting my designer paper and finally have scraps!)
Challenges: Cards und More - Dotted & Embossed, Jackson's Digital Expressions - AG + Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo Distress Ink), Party Time Tuesday - AG, 365 Cards - 4 Layers, Oozak - Spring Colors
Here's the sketch from The Outlawz that I flipped upside down...
I hope you go on over and play, especially since this sketch turned out to be one of the more simple ones.Challenges: Cards und More - Dotted & Embossed, Jackson's Digital Expressions - AG + Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo Distress Ink), Party Time Tuesday - AG, 365 Cards - 4 Layers, Oozak - Spring Colors

Thank God for Science!
After three doses of antibiotics, five hours of rolling sweats, three-quarters of a box of tissue, and a decent night's sleep, I am feeling fairly decent today. I'm hoping not to have any antibiotic side effects this holiday weekend to add to my misery, but I'll take them rather than still be feeling crappy two weeks from now... (New followers, I promise I'm not always sick.)
I was able to finish a card this morning. I started it DAYS ago and kept changing paper and stamps and embossing powder and so on... One of my mother's friends asked me to make 9 graduation cards, and as yesterday was the last day of school, I think I need to get on it! This card is for her daughter; I hope it passes for "special"...
It's an easel card with The Greeting Farm's Graduation Anya, some paper from Recollections, ribbon from Colleen, letter dies from Papertrey Ink, Hampton Art's graduation stamps, numbers from Lawn Fawn (little too much space on that 2nd 2), a little Stickles, a few pearls, and a sketch from The Cutie Pie Challenge.
I'm hoping to get some kind of rapid-fire assembly line cranking for the other cards that I need to make. I really just want to go lay back down though.
Challenges: The Cutie Pie Challenge (above), Celebrate the Occasion - Graduation

Places to Visit...
So, if you aren't a member of Blitsy yet, you might have missed that they are planning to give $200 to the 20,000 member and the person who referred that milestone member. They think the number will be hit sometime during the next three days, so if you aren't a member yet, what are you waiting for?? They also give credits when folks you refer start shopping. If you have a gang of crafty friends, invite them all and let them help add to your stash! I can say that I've bought some things from Blitsy; my order came quickly. Plus, as I'm a serious shopper, I did my research before buying and know I saved some money!

Another spot you need to visit is my buddy Chana's blog, Card-d-ology. She recently changed her blog over to Blogger and is trying to build her followers list. In order to do so, she is offering two weekly prizes valued at $25!! Right now, she has a monthly $100 prize for January, too! No, her blog isn't one that you'll follow just for the prizes. She's a great cardmaker; we're on The Outlawz and Guylou's Inimitability DTs together!

Boxing Day! + Rambling!
In case you haven't made it over, Guylou's Inimitability is having a Boxing Day sale this week! My personal favorites are the digis in the Gabrielle Series. And since you might be ready to start on Valentine's Day card already, I would take a look a Cupid and the Love Seat digis, too! Until the 31st you get half off with coupon code 2011-BOXINGWEEK!
I have been enjoying my break. So far, I've watched a number of movies. I saw Bad Teacher (crude yet funny), Horrible Bosses (also raunchy, very hilarious), and Conan the Barbarian (actually enjoyable, but I had really low expectations).
Also, since I wasn't smart enough to pre-schedule a post, I now have to tell you that I hope you had a great Christmas! A special Christmas shout-out to my new Secret Pal! I just got your card... You are on it! I've barely thought about next year's SP stuff, but your card will encourage me to get something together... Here are some of the last Christmas cards I made for this year!
Ah, speaking of Ready, Set, Create, you can get the current issue half off until the 29th! And if you're interested in submitting some work for the upcoming issue, check this page for the calls! You have until Jan 10, 2012 to get some projects in for publication!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
Woohoo! Two more Christmas cards down! The first I made just because I saw this cute sheet in DCWV's Doodlin' Around stack and knew it would make for an easy, fun card...
That's Bright Lights Kaylee from Some Odd Girl getting her tree-trimming on! This card was really simple since all I had to do was color and cut out Kaylee and stamp a sentiment!
Challenges: Creative Craft Challenges - Minimalistic, Digital Tuesday Challenge - Christmas Time, Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes + a Digi
My second card is for this week's sketch at The Outlawz. Here is the sketch:
I used some paper (American Crafts + Dear Lizzy), a stamp and a snowflake sticker that were all on clearance back in the spring. I recently got some vellum, and this is pretty much the first time I've used it. After watching Kathy at The Daily Marker with all her vellum tricks, I went ahead and stamped and embossed my sentiment. The dew drop things I got from the awesome Piali last year with some Christmas goodies she gave away on her blog. Thanks again!
Challenges: Oldie But a Goodie - Let it Snow, Shopping Our Stash - Never Been Inked (sentiment)

Guylou & I have Mind Meld Powers!!
The new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability is Thank You + a Star. There are so many images at GI that would work perfectly for this challenge, but somehow Guylou and I used the same image and sentiment on our cards! No, I don't get to see the other DT members' card in advance, and no, she didn't copy mine as I barely got it in to her before the challenge went up... Mind meld, I tell ya!
Here's my card using Genie from Guylou's Inimitability:
I used some Divaliscious papers from Glitz and Copics to color. The font is one of the free ones available at kevinandamanda.com. After looking at G's card, I wish I'd used that vellum on the skirt like I was planning. Maybe I could have let it float out of the circle? For extra stars, I embossed the top paper with the Teeny Tiny Backdrops stars from Lawn Fawn.
Anyway, if you'd like to join in the fun, you have until 10 p.m. EST on Sept. 29 to link your project at Guylou's Inimitability. The prize for this challenge is a $10 gift certificate - enough for a mini stamp haul! G is giving two challenge entries for using a GI stamp for this challenge. If you don't have any, the store has freebies! Hey, I don't even have some of the stamps in the freebies section! I need to get on that... See you in the challenge!!
Challenges: 4 Crafty Chicks - Embossing, Shelly's Images - Anything Goes

Flirty Anya & Prizes at The Outlawz!
Hey, we've got a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge up at The Outlawz!
We also have an awesome prize including some Just Rite Stamps.
Melanie is giving these away to a random player this month. Plus, our site-wide sponsors are Oozak.com, Gilli Rubber Stamps, and SCACD! You (unlike me) have plenty of chances to win some prizes!
Here's my card using this week's sketch!
My card has the super cute Flirty Anya from The Greeting Farm with a border made from MS's Swirling Lace corner punch. The tag is from the Mini Tags set by Maya Road, and it has stars from Lawn Fawn and an embossed sentiment from a Studio G set. I also used the colors from Tuesday's Color Challenge (red, white, and black), but this week, that group is making Christmas cards!
I hope you come play along! :D
Challenges: Divas by Design - Die Cuts & Punches, The Paper Shelter - Lots of Dots, Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes, Corrosive Challenge - Red and White

Yes, I'm on Time!!
Hey everyone! Today is Wednesday aka Sketch Challenge Day at The Outlawz! We have a great sketch this week, and my fellow DT ladies have created some awesomeness to inspire you! (Just so you know, Sandi used an amazing hummingbird digi that she drew! She's supposed to add it to the Freebies section of The Outlawz soon; head on over to get all the digis she and Anne Fenton have served up!)
Sandi and Pattie's Creations (Pattie G) are both sponsoring the Sketch Challenge this month and are giving 3 digis a piece! Oozak is sponsoring all the challenges on the site and is offering a $50 gift certificate, AND Anary from Gilli Rubber Stamps has just signed on to give a member a Gilli Goodie Bag! I know you're ready to enter now that you've seen these awesome prizes, so here's the sketch for this week:
Kaylee was colored with Copics; her shoes are glittery from a Spica pen, but you can't really tell in the picture. All the papers came from a dollar pack from Target around Valentine's Day. (You know I love a bargain!) Colorbox ink is on the edges of the papers...
Hope to see you in the challenge! You still have until next Wednesday to enter any of the Sketch challenges from this month and be entered into the drawings for prizes!

You know what it is...
You ready? You sure? Okay...
There it is - this week's sketch from The Outlawz! Easy peasy, right? What's that? You can hardly wait to finish reading this post so you can get started on your own card? Well okay! I know you're in a big hurry now, but would you like to see what I made? Well, would ya?? Good. Thank you...
The image is Girl on Swing by Stamp Oasis. She's been colored with Copics then outlined with a black Sakura Glaze pen. I might try to do the Glaze pen first next time. The ink ran onto her nose and kind of lifted the paper when I tried to get it off... :( The sky paper is from American Crafts, and the butterfly paper is from Basic Grey's Urban Prarie collection. I made the little rolled flowers by coloring scrap paper with the some of the markers I used for the image and hit them with a teeny bit of Stickles. The butterfly punch in the corner is from Martha Stewart; I put a little piece of black paper behind it to make it stand out against the bg paper.
Woohoo! I'm done... Rush on over to upload your card. March is still rolling, and that $50 Oozak.com gift certificate could be yours!
Challenges: Anything Goes - Make Your Own Embellishments, Papertake Weekly - Girly, Let's Ink it Up - #11 Die Cuts/Punches, Stamps R Us - Spring

Wednesday's Sketch!
Here's the new sketch at The Outlawz:
And here's my card:
That's Dottie Wonder Woman from Bugaboo Stamps. She's been colored with Copics then hit with Sakura Glaze pens (rope, boots, lips, eyelashes), and Spica glitter pens on her earrings. I also used a Glaze pen to color in the dots on the star stamp (The Paper Studio) and a regular Gelly Roll for the stitching. The stars have been embossed with some two-tone embossing powder that was on clearance recently at Addicted to Rubber Stamps.com. The paper is from DCWV's Rock Star stack, and the letters are by Making Memories. The ribbon was in some fabulous blog candy I got last year...
Don't forget that all March challenge entries at The Outlawz are worth one shot at a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com! Come play along!!
Challenges: Simon Says Stamp - Stars, Going Grey with Scrap-Creations: Anything Goes, Papertake Weekly - Trios
