Bingo at Guylou's Inimitability!

Hey there! I'm blogging from the hospital. Don't worry; I'm ok. My mom has pneumonia and is about to get some fluid drained from around her lung. (She's mostly okay, too, just in case you're worried.) **Update! We're back home and all is well. My mom says she can breathe again even though the doctor didn't drain all of the fluid. Supposedly, he got about a liter.

Just wanted to tell you about the new challenge at Guylou's Inimitability. This time Kim has given us BINGO! Not related to this challenge, but typing that reminded me of my grandma. One of the times she came to visit, I took her to the VFW around the corner from my house, and we spent the night playing bingo... :D

Lotus is Perplexed (digi stamp) from Guylou's Inimitability, Happy Go Lucky paper from My Mind's Eye
Anyway, I used my Copics to color up one of G's newest images for my card. My bingo is on the buttons, bling, and starts with G line. I kind of cheated with some button paper! My "G" is glitter; you might not be able to see it, but there is glitter on her eyelashes and over the sentiment.

Well, looks like we're about to get going up here. I'll be back with the rest! **If you'd like to play along, you have until 10 p.m. EST on February 28 to enter your card on the challenge blog. You don't have to use a Guylou's Inimitability stamp to enter, but there are always some freebies to be found somewhere in the store!

Cuckoo I Am...

I feel like I'm in the middle of a moment - like I have too much in my brain and too much energy. As such, sitting here at the computer is making me feel a little crazy. Therefore, this post will be one my lovely, super short posts!

This card is for this week's Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz. We have an awesome sponsor for Sketch this month, Angie Delarie!! She's giving a very generous prize! We also have a great set of site-wide prizes from some fabulous sponsors including Oozak and Paper Temptress! Here is the sketch if you'd like to come play:

Hearts and Flowers at LMMS

Hey Kristin!! Even though this is a Little Miss Muffet post, I have to give a shout out to my Secret Sistah as she helped pull this card together. She sent me the paper and the bling in one of the great packages of goodies she gifted me over the last few weeks. Thanks!!!

I found a great sentiment from TLC Creations on my laptop for the inside of this card. It says, " I think I'd miss you even if we'd never met." Love it!! especially since Valerie looks like she's missing someone...

I realized the other day that I had a bunch of LMM stamps on my external hard drive that hadn't been transferred to my laptop. After getting that straightened out, I looked around and found my girl Valerie looking like she wanted to be on a card. How could I resist?

On a side note, my E13 keeps dropping blobs of ink when I'm coloring. Air pressure issues? It starts off almost dry then all of a sudden, the nib is soaking wet and there's a huge spot of color on my image. I have colored a bunch of things since I last refilled it. After today's mishap, I opened both ends of the marker and laid it down flat when I switched to the other markers for her skin. That seemed to work. Any suggestions?

Anyway, we'd love to see your Hearts & Flowers projects! Don't want to go with the theme? Use ANY Little Miss Muffet Stamp or a Pollycraft stamp and do whatever you want in the challenge!

**Challenges: Oozak - Pink & Bling, House of Gilli - Pink & Bling, Bunny Zoe's - Anything Goes

My first "REAL" CASE

*I'll be back in just a while with some details. I'm sick and trying to finish up some DT stuff since I'm stuck at home anyway... For now, just know that I CASEd  Thanh's card over at Raise the Bar Challenges...

Okay! So, that image is Odette from The Greeting Farm's Roll Call set. I made her a little plaid skirt to go along with the plaid hat that Hello Ian wears. (He's who Thanh used...)  Eiffel Tower stamp, Want 2 Scrap bling, Cupid rub-on, Papertrey Ink Block Alphabet Dies (run thrice so I could make those letters stand up a little), some Recollections washi tape and BAM! There's a card!

Forewarning - I half colored a gang of TGF stamps 2 weekends ago. Expect to see them as I attempt to use my stamps and serious paper stash...

**Challenges: Creative Card Crew - Girly, Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes, Lady Anne's - Anything Goes, Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Anything Goes

Dr. Digi's at The Outlawz!!

Okay! Looks like I might be back in blogging business this week! As I said in one of my few recent posts, the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz is being sponsored by Dr. Digi's House of Stamps this month. Can I just say that my teammates rocked it again this week?!  For my card, I used Slam Dunk Duncan...
What do you think about "Play on, Playa" for a sentiment inside? :D
*It looks like Dr. Digi has recently updated its freebie image! Go pick it up!

Here is the sketch if you're interested in playing along:

Just so you know, we still have a ton of sponsors for this month, plus we've upped the number of Oozak prizes!!

Carpet's Done!

Thank goodness!! The upstairs carpet is finally complete! I am on a vacuuming break right now and am completely sweat-soaked. It's hot up there and vacuums let off car-exhaust type heat. I've spent the last couple of days trying to figure out how I can rearrange my room to make space for my crafting stuff. Not that we eat in the dining room often, but I feel like I should start clearing this area out a bit. When I'm busy through a week making stuff it looks kind of like those rooms I shared the other day!

Anyway, here's a card that helped me make the dining room look a little bit worse!

I used real blush to color her cheeks. They aren't quite that pink in life, but for some reason, makeup has a tendency to really show in sunlight...
I used one of MY digis from Guylou's Inimitability for this card with some stuff I got at the recent Scrapbook Expo. Luckily, I hadn't taken the stuff out of the bag so I  could put my hands on it without rooting through the mounds of everything that now need to be put up...

Welp, back to the vacuum! (I'm letting this be today's workout...) I hope you have a great weekend!

Circles at LMMS!

Hey out there! It's time for another challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges! During the next two weeks we'd love to see you and some circles! A circular card or even a tag will earn you a chance to win some new digis from LMMS! OR if you use a LMMS stamp, you can make anything you want!

Here's my card using one of the Pollycraft digis, Butterflies:

The sentiment is The Greeting Farm's Roll Call set.

Lately I've decided that my Copics are not the business for adding blush. My blending is just not working. I've been playing with my colored pencils and pastels to decorate cheeks, and I think I like it more...

**Challenges: Joanna Sheen - Circles, Great Impressions - Coloring in the Lines, Dream Valley Challenges - Anything but a Square, Going Grey with Scrap-Creations - Something Bought in the Last Two Months (Paper from TJ Maxx for $3!), Fashionista Challenge - Things with Wings

Lollipop!

I'll have to smooth out those spots on her face. Do your browns act crazy when you try to go back over them after they've dried?

I can't figure out what I want to write. I was going to talk about this morning's squirrel raid on my apple tree, but I'm not feeling it anymore. Seriously, it's been over 40 mins since I put the picture in this post and still nada... SO, I'll remind you that Pollycraft is not disappearing. You'll still be able to find some of your favorites over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps! There are new releases there, including two new Pollycraft stamps! Hit the blog to see some Pollycraft goodness!

*Oh, thanks Piali! I'm still using supplies she sent me two years ago!

**Challenges: ScrapFit - Stickers (My lollipop is an old sticker that just happened to be almost the right size...), Paper Crafting Journey - Hand Colored Images, Jackson's Digital Expressions - Color Challenge/Anything Goes

Before the Day is Gone...

Before the day is gone I will hit publish on this post! I kept having things to do today and have a piece of a break before going back into troubleshooting mode with my router and printer. Here's my Wednesday post for the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz.

I didn't realize how crookedly I'd stamped Miss Anya until I had already trimmed up close! :D I think I should've bought another pad or two of this Happy Go Lucky paper; I really like it!
Whoo! Got distracted and ended up figuring out what was wrong with my printer. I was disturbed because I didn't want to add another trek downstairs whenever I want to print digis. It's not been working since I updated the router software.

So yeah... If you'd like to play along this week, here's the sketch:

I hope you saw that flashy piece of goodness going on in my sidebar right now. That's right, another Outlawz party!! You know we do it big and have a lot of fun when we party!

**Totally unrelated - I have most of DCWV's Dog Scrapbook in a Stack that I really have no use for. My dog died before I started crafting, and I don't make enough dog anything to really need this paper. If you'd like it, let me know. If only one person wants it, s/he will get it. If more than one of you say you want it, I'll either split it or randomly give it away. My only request is that you be in the States so I don't have to pay some ridiculous fee to send it. Here's a pic of it...

A Simple Sketch!

After that marathon card making day the other day, I am happy to say that I finally made a simple-looking card that was actually simple for me to make!! Normally, the cards that look super easy took me hours to put together. This one went really quick, and *surprise, surprise* I used scraps! (I'm getting better about cutting my designer paper and finally have scraps!)

Here's the sketch from The Outlawz that I flipped upside down...
I hope you go on over and play, especially since this sketch turned out to be one of the more simple ones.

Challenges: Cards und More - Dotted & Embossed, Jackson's Digital Expressions - AG + Tim Holtz (Vintage Photo Distress Ink), Party Time Tuesday - AG, 365 Cards - 4 Layers, Oozak - Spring Colors

Smile!!

It's time for a new Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz!  This week I chose the super adorable Ollie Glee from Some Odd Girl and Smitty's ABCs and Say Cheese from Lawn Fawn for my card.  As usual, I got ink on my finger and messed up my sentiment circle. HELLO rhinestones!! I took that circle off later as I wanted this to be a cleaner looking card. I will redo it and, hopefully, won't have to add rhinestones or pearls or ribbon or any of those other embellishments I use to hide mishaps!

Here's the sketch!
Not that you should need encouragement to play at The Outlawz, but just in case you do, this month the Sketch Challenge is being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps! And anyone who enters a challenge can enter to win our site-wide prizes, which include goodies from Oozak, Paper Temptress, and more!

**Challenges: Oozak - Anything Goes, Simon Says Stamp and Show - Anything Goes, Whoopsi Daisy - Anything Goes, The Cutie Pie Challenge - Circles

Must Sleep Now!

This will be an extremely short post as I must be awake in a few hours. Elementary-aged children like hugging, so I need to keep my immune system at its best (which is only like 85%) by getting my rest!

This week at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, we have some new, amazing additions to the DT! I have been stalking some of their blogs for a long time, and it's an honor to work with everyone on the team! Today we are all showcasing a little something to inspire. Here's my card using the Monster Love digi...

I hate taking pictures of cards when they're flat. My bad lighting makes it necessary sometimes, though...

Barbara, I hope you feel better soon!
