I know it's been weeks, but I'm still here! So sorry for disappearing, but I started back full time in the classroom and found out last week that my mother's pneumonia is actually lung cancer. So, I've been a little busy.
BUT here I am today! I paid for a crop a few weeks ago and figured maybe I would get something done. So far that's hardly been the case! I did, however, get something done (finally) for the current blue and yellow challenge at Little Miss Muffet Challenges. I was wondering how I could get a project for this challenge, and this Authentique paper was in my goodie bag at the crop! Thank goodness!
I just finished coloring a new stamp from Diva Glam. Hopefully, I'll be back with her on a card soon!
Miss you all and thanks for praying for my family!

ReplyDeleteHey Trina....just popped in to see how you were doing and saw this write up about your mom. Just wanted to let you know that I will be keeping your mom and you and your family in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to share a little advise...something that I have had some experience with lately. If you or anyone else goes with your mom to her dr's/oncologist appointments (or even if she goes by herself) ask the dr. if he/she would mind you recording the visit. I have a recorder on my phone and have been doing this with my dad's dr.'s (he was diagnosed stage 4 bladder cancer in January)and we have found it very helpful. Not only can the rest of the family hear what has happened at the dr's, but you don't have to worry about forgetting something that the dr. has said. It will also allow you to prepare for further appointments with questions you might have. Which is another good idea...sit down with your mom before her appointments and get her to make a list of questions that she might have and questions that you have. That way all bases should be covered on what you need/want to know.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to tell you...I just adore this sweet card that you made.
Hugs ~ Charlene
