The Trimmer Strikes Again!

Somedays, I just don't feel like fighting my paper trimmer. And unfortunately, there are so many crafty goodies that I want that the thought of spending money on something I already have just doesn't work for me. The crooked lines from my trimmer are kind of driving me crazy right now, though. See what I mean?

This picture really looks grainy small...
This card is for the new sketch at The Outlawz. It has Mimi in the Rain from DeNami Design with one of the Friendly Advice stamps by Inkadinkado. The super bright paper is from Echo Park's Summer Days.

And since I hardly "stick" to the sketch, here it is in its unaltered glory if you'd like to play along:

The Sketch prize this month is a set of Spellbinders Flying Beauties!!

  2. I love this Trina! It's so colorful and that image is adorable.
I gave up using a trimmer a long time ago just for this reason. now I just use a plastic Quilters square and an X-acto knife. :-) Hugs!

  5. Awwww, I hear you! I really like my Tonic guillotine trimmer....sometimes it's on sale at joann.com for $23.99...right now it's on sale but, only 30% off so, if you're interested, I'd wait for it to go on sale for 40% off...here is a link: http://www.joann.com/12-x6-guillotine-paper-trimmer/prd27553/

I'm planning on upgrading to the 12x12 guillotine trimmer but, I'm waiting for it to go on for 40% off and of course, there also has to be some sort of free shipping coupon at the same time...sometimes it's just a matter of waiting for a little bit!

Anyway, SUPER cute card! LOVE the bright papers and that adorable image and sentiment!

    Hugs,
    Naomi

  7. Honestly Trina, I wouldn't have notice if you hadn't pointed it out. But I know what you mean. My trimmer gets a little cockeyed sometimes too.

In any event, your card is fabulous - so bright & cheery; just what we need this time of year.
    Hugs,
    Teresa

  10. Oh Trina, I gave up on my trimmer after the first day.... LOL! I much prefer to use my craft knife (which is actually a carpet knife from the hardware store...much cheaper!) and a steel ruler. Love your card, and wouldn't have noticed anything if you hadn't pointed it out :)

  11. Hey, Trina, I love your card! I use the tonic guillotine. You get a much better cut! I also have a large guillotine cutter for which my DH designed blocks that line up my cardstock for the sizes I use the most! But I have to tell you, sometimes laziness grabs me, and since my Fiskars trimmer lives on my drafting table.....
    But your card is great!
