Oh my goodness! I have been getting some of the worst mosquito bites ever this summer! I have two that I got two days ago. When I was bit, my foot was itching and on fire. I put some bentonite clay on the bites, and they were calm until yesterday afternoon. I put alcohol, Allegra ointment, benzocaine, and cortisone cream on them at different times with little to no relief. All night they itched and kept me awake. Well, I woke up this morning and my two tiny bites are huge and swollen. I put some more bentonite clay on them, and that helped white it was on and about 30 minutes after. Right am going crazy making myself not touch them. I am not a mosquito fan, but they sure love me!
Anyway, I'm a little better this week and am blogging on Wednesday like I'm.supposed to. Here's my card for the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz. (I'm blogging on the blogger app on my phone. I have no clue where it's going to put my photo...)
The mosquitoes are awful this year with all the rain! Hope you've gotten relief from your bites by now! Fab card, Trina! Love the backing papers and the star-framed image! Great coloring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Trina!! My daughter has been having some funky reactions to mosquito bites this year, too!! Your reaction sounds just like hers! SHe never used to react like that. I think the bugs are changing!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card Trina! I love your coloring skills. Wonderful...
ReplyDeleteHate mosquitoes ... nasty critters. A friends told me that crushed aspirin mixed with a bit of water to make a paste will take the sting out of insect bites. I don't know for sure, but might be worth checking into!
Hugs
Cara
Wow Trina, your coloring is awesome!! Like always :-D
ReplyDeleteGlad your feeling better, although mosquito bites are very itchy!!!
Hugs,Sandra
Trina, Sorry to hear the mosquitoes are being so mean to you....that's the price you pay for being just too darned sweet, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI followed you here from Outlawz (love that place!) and I just became one of your newest followers. If you get a chance, I'd really appreciate a visit to my very first blog: QueenBeePaperCrafts.blogspot.com

PS: Almost forgot to tell you how much I love your card! The coloring is fantastic. And all of those stars are just look adorable.
Very cute card Trina! The mosquitoes are just disgusting this year. There is so much dampness that they are everywhere. Hope you're feeling less itchy.
ReplyDeleteGreat card x
ReplyDeleteI have heard through the grapevine, that if you put Orajel or any other dental gel it will stop itching full stop. Do let me know if it works.

ReplyDeleteOooh, so glad we don't have tons of mosquitoes here in AZ! I can't stand the little monsters. (We called them the state bird when we lived in Minnesota, though I remember them being pretty fierce in Georgia, too!) Hope you get some relief soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card--I so love that image & your coloring! Great design, love the DP, and all the little stars are perfect for embellies! :^)
Have a great un-itchy weekend!
Hugs, Penny
