Monochromatic Challenge at Guylou's Inimitability!

When we were choosing our upcoming challenges a few months ago, I had to make a decision for my challenge. I don't know how to make a sketch. Usually I have a rough time getting all the ingredients to work like I want them to for a recipe challenge. SO...The question I asked myself was, "kraft or monochromatic?" Now, months and months later, my challenge is for you to share a monochromatic project with us over at Guylou's Inimitability. Should you decide to play along, you have until 10 p.m. EST on March 29. There's a $10 prize and GDT spot for the winner!

Here is my card for the challenge using Papa Bear.
Sentiment from Stamp Camp
I was so happy to find a use for this paper! When I first started making cards, I bought a lot of 12x12 pads and now find that a lot of the patterns are a bit big on cards...

Hope to see you in the challenge!

Challenges: Ditzy Craftyness - AG with Buttons, Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - Feathers or Fur, Shelly's Images - Anything Goes, Cardmadfairy's Digi Days - Add a Sentiment, Card Makin' Mamas - Buttons

  1. I know just what you mean Trina. There are some absolutely gorgeous 12 x 12 papers out there, but their big patterns get lost on cards. Thank goodness someone was smart enough to start making them in 6 x 6 size. :-) I think your bear is awesome and I love the fun sprinkling of buttons. :-) Hugs!

  2. Oh, I really like the tans with this bear. And the buttons. I love buttons! I think you chose monochromatic because you wanted to really challenge us. This one sure was a challenge for me! I guess I should thank you for making me step outside my comfort zone, but I will do that after I curse you a bit first, k? Ha ha!! Just kidding. Oh, on a different topic, let me know when your prize pack makes it to you so I will stop worrying (as if I could do anything about it, anyway).

  4. I like the colors, Trina and the green piping and stitching on the vest really take this image to the next level. Great Card! Like Gina, I sorta groaned when I saw monochromatic, but everyone rocked it, so I guess we HAVE to forgive you.

    Be well,
    Chana

  7. I love this card, Trina: how you colored the teddy's vest, your design papers, the buttons, and the warm tones you used. I might just enter this challenge myself.
